Naissance de la Congrégation des Religieuses du Sacré-Coeur de Marie à Béziers.
1850
Mademoiselle Arbinet, d'origine noble, installe au 19 rue de l'épée à Cambrai un pensionnat de jeunes filles.
1867-1913
Les demoiselles Peinte (Clémence-Elisa et Victorine) dirigent l'école de jeunes filles.
1913
Fondation du Sacré-Coeur de Marie en Grande-Bretagne, au Portugal et aux USA. "Nous pouvons être envoyées n'importe où dans le monde" (règle de vie des RSCM) En juillet 1913, 11 religieuses de la Congrégation du Sacré-Cœur de Marie, parmi lesquelles deux soeurs anglaises et une portuguaise, dont la maison mère se trouve à Béziers, arrivent à Cambrai. L'évêque reçoit la fondatrice, Mère St Liguori Mac Mullen, mais il meurt trois jours après le 21 juillet. En octobre, elles accueillent 87 élèves dans cette maison placé sous le patronnage de Jeanne d'Arc, 19 rue de l'épée. 1914-1918: LA GRANDE GUERRE
1914
Dès l'annonce de la guerre, les religieuses hébergent des réfugiés ou se mettent au service de soldats, les logent avant leur départ au front. "Dieu qui nous éprouve sera notre soutien" (Lettre du Père Jean Gaillac à Mère Saint-Jean)

Les cours reprennent en 1914 avec des externes et les religieuses se déplacent pour enseigner à domicile (les cours ne pourront plus avoir lieu à l'Institution de crainte des bombes).
1918
Déportation des religieuses en Belgique dans la province de Liège qui confine au territoire allemand, avec la population cambrésienne.
1919
Retour des religieuses à Cambrai.
1927
Devise du règlement des pensionnaires: "Tout pour Jésus et Marie". "Pour qu'ils aient la vie, et l'aient en abondance" (Ev. St Jean X, 10-devise RSCM)
1938
Fête des 25 ans de présence des Religieuses du Sacré Coeur de Marie.
1939
Seconde Guerre Mondiale: rentrée sans internes. Les 65 élèves sont réparties sur 3 classes.
1940
Départ des élèves et des religieuses en mai. Les locaux sont prêtés à ND de Grâce (Vaucelette). Fin septembre, les religieuses et les élèves reviennent à Cambrai.
1942
Ouverture aux études secondaires.
28 avril 1944
Toutes les écoles sont fermées suite aux bombardements. Les religieuses sont accueillies dans la Somme par la famille Piat dont les 3 filles ont été pensionnaires. Retour en juillet. Libération de Cambrai le 2 septembre 1944.
octobre 1944
Les cours par correspondance organisés ramènent les élèves avec lesquelles le contact n'avait pas été perdu.
28 fevrier 1955
Achat de la propriété Duverger 25, boulevard de la Liberté, pour y établir le pensionnat.
1956-1964
"Navette" plusieurs fois par jour entre la rue de l'Epée, où ont lieu les cours et le boulevard de la Liberté, où sont le dortoir et le réfectoire, ainsi que les classes du jardin d'enfants.
1963
Construction du bâtiment principal du collège 25 bd de la Liberté: le second étage est réservé aux ainées des pensionnaires.
1964
L'Institution s'installe définitivement au boulevard de la Liberté. L'immeuble de la rue de l'Epée" revient aux Frères des Ecoles Chrétiennes pour l'Institut Agricole, aujourd'hui le Lycée Sainte Croix, rue du Pont de Pierres.
SEPTEMBRE 1964
18 salles de classe pour 287 élèves qui s'installent dans le nouveau bâtiment. Le dortoir se situe au 2ème étage.
1964-1965
Ouverture de la classe de Terminale option Philosophie.
20 AVRIL 1965
Inauguration le mardi de Pâques et bénédiction des nouveaux locaux; fête différée pour les 50 ans de la création de l'institution: participation de toutes les Religieuses du Sacré Coeur de Marie ayant vécu et travaillé à Jeanne d'Arc. Repas et séance du jubilé ont lieu au Collège Notre-Dame.
1966
L'Institution devient liée à l'Etat par un contrat d'association (450 élèves).
1967
L'Institution devient un Premier Cycle de la 6ème à la 3ème. Le primaire et le second cycle se regroupent à l'institution Saint Bernard Regroupement avec le CEG du Sacré-Cœur de Caudry.
1968-1969
Inauguration des "Préfabriqués". Participation des mamans à l'équipe de catéchèse. L'A. P. E. L. (Association des Parents d'Elèves) prend un nouvel essor. Premier voyage à Londres avec les 3èmes
1970-1971
Inauguration du Self-service. Fin du port de l'uniforme "jupe plissée bleue et chemisier blanc"
1972-1973
Construction du second bâtiment, actuellement la Maison des Sixièmes. Les effectifs se stabilisent autour de 600 élèves.
1978
Premier voyage des élèves de 3ème en Angleterre sous la direction de Simone Fourcroy.
1982
Monsieur Alain Bouchès, premier directeur laïc, arrive au Collège.
